Hair Loss Myth, White-Black-and Gray Concept

We have heard many things about myth of hair loss like word-to-word marketing.  It may be true or false and even controversial.  Are you ready to check it out?

Blow-drying cause hair loss
False.  Blow-drying does not damage the hair, except when it is aimed too closely at the root or hair follicles. This may result in drying up of the follicles, causing them to weaken and making them prone to breakage.  Hair may fall, but it will grow back and this is not permanent hair loss

Long sun exposure causes hair loss
That is false. Hair loss appears at the follicle level and so the sun would have to penetrate at this depth to do any damage. Severe sunburn or a series of burns that occur over time may damage delicate hair follicles at the root level. People with a genetic predisposition towards hair loss may accelerate the onset of hair loss activity

Regular trims make hair grow longer and thicker:
Misunderstanding. This is a very common misconception about scalp hair. Most people think that the hair growth and loss pattern is same on every part of the human body, including the human scalp. But this belief is incorrect. In fact, the facial hair and body hair of males tends to grow thicker every time it is cut or shaved. This is not the case with scalp hair, which shows a completely opposite effect on excessive trimming and cutting.

Excessive hair wash causes hair loss
This is false idea. Frequency does not the issue. You can shampoo regularly for clean and healthy scalp.  But do not change shampoo often. While certain products may work better for your hair type than others, it's okay to stick with it if you've found a shampoo that works well.
Brush 100 times a day to accelerate hair growth.
False. Brushing hair excessively can damage hair cuticle and coarsen it.  This causes hair loss in men as well as in women.  Also it can lead to split ends and hair breakage. In fact, your hair reacts better to a comb than a brush.

Color hair treatment causes hair loss.
This is gray concept. Most hair coloring products contain chemicals that can do serious harm to the hair itself if not properly used or use it too often, but it wont instigate hair loss.

Hair will not grow back at the same place:
False.  There are various conditions of hair loss, such as alopecia areata, which are non-scarring and which leave the hair follicles intact. This allows for regrowth of the same hair follicle in men with hair loss.

Wearing tight braids, ponytails or buns causes baldness
True.  Hair breakage or loss as the result of tight, stressed styles over time can become permanent and cause scarring hair loss.

Stress causes hair loss
That is true. Severe stress (e.g. from injury, surgery or even tension at work and school), can hold hair production, causing temporary hair loss (alopecia areata).Have you ever heard headachae or migraine can lead to hair loss.

I have got 7 from 8 points, what’s about yours?
